i woke up this morning to see we had our first real snowfall since i've been here. there was less than an inch on the ground, but it was still coming down. i managed to snap some pics on the way to work. that's natalie in the white jacket in each picture.
on the left is 부야수 (booya supaw), the corner store i go to get most of my groceries. it's run by the woman who hooked me up with all that kimchi a few months ago.
this place is really cool. i'm planning to get lots of pics when the weather gets better and do a posting on this place. when i first got here, i was so happy to see this and find out i'd be walking through it almost every day. definitely one of those places you can't see in america too easily.
the snow didn't last too long, it kept up intermittently until mid-afternoon, but by the time i left for work, it was almost all melted and it was raining a little bit. it supposed to snow again thursday, but we'll see. i'm hoping this'll be the last cold spell and then things will start to warm up. although i'm not a big fan of snow, it was nice seeing it once.
meanwhile, today makes it exactly three months since i arrived in korea. i can't believe the year is already a quarter over, in many ways it's gone by really fast, but i've definitely had a great time so far. if the next three-quarters are as good as the first one i'll be satisfied.
