that was a new one. never had a kid bring their pet along to class, not to mention one that was dead set on chirping through the whole period. actually, just seconds after this picture was taken, the poor little guy tried to make a break for it and fell off the desk! luckily he was okay, but it was quite a fall. he's in for a hard life being taken care of by emily.

i was giving them a test today, and luckily the chick chilled out after a little while. i think he was scared to death, actually. i put him in the corner of the room on the floor so he wouldn't wander off to easily. but he ended up burying his head in the corner and sleeping, or at least pretending to. i give him a week to live, poor guy.
