the first week i was back in delaware my parents and i went out to dinner at the same korean restaurant we went to last september. they also have a korean market next door so i was able to buy some essential korean food. mom bought a korean cookbook and wanted to try to make some stuff, but we had a hard time finding all the ingredients and they had a bunch of premade stuff at the market anyway, so we just went with that.
korean food
the most essential item - rice
this spicy pork was pretty good, but not as good as in korea
this kimchi is pretty good
another essential - 멸치 (myeol chi, anchovies)
these fish cakes were a bit too dry
delicious chap chae
after not having eaten rice for over a week it was really nice to finally get some. i don't think i can live without it any more.
