thursday, january 4th i was invited for dinner to kevin and mer's new house. kevin and i have been good friends since fourth grade, amazingly almost twenty years ago. he and his wife mer moved into a new house since the last time i was back in delaware, so it was my first chance to see it.

before dinner kevin gave me a tour of their new digs. it's a really nice place, they have it fixed up really nice already even though they've been there less than a year. from his experience fixing up their last place in trolley square, kevin has become a real handyman. he showed me one room where he laid hardwood floors all by himself, which i found very impressive. they have a really nice deck and back yard behind the house.

we had a great time enjoying the dinner, drinking some wine, chatting, and catching up. having that nice dinner in kevin's house kind of hit me as to how grown up we've become (although more so him than me) in the past few years. a lot of circumstantial things have changed, although we're really still the same, it's just that now instead of trading baseball cards and playing wiffle ball for fun, we enjoy good conversation with a glass of wine and a nice meal.
