i spent my last couple of days before heading back to korea at my sister's house. on saturday, january 13th, caran went to a wedding shower for our cousin mike's fiancé, julie. so us boys (caran's husband joe, baby ben, and myself) just hung out at home all day playing video games and such. ben was not exactly his usual delightful self all day, he was in kind of a crabby mood. finally in the evening caran came home and i think gave ben a bath. then she brought him down in just a diaper and we figured out what it was he needed to be content - the freedom from cumbersome clothing holding him back. without clothes holding back, the smiles were plentiful once again.

early the next morning caran gave me a ride to the airport and i caught a long flight back to korea.
