on the final day of my three-day trip to southeastern korea sunam and i went to 부산 (busan), korea's second-largest metropolis. we took a bus from pohang and arrived in busan around 11:30a.

busan station in downtown busan
mountains behind the downtown shops across from the station
from downtown we caught a local bus and rode out to (yeongdo), and island connected by bridge off the southeastern edge of busan. we walked around 태종대 (taejongdae), a large park above cliffs that fall to the ocean.
a tourist map of taejongdae, we walked around in a counter-clockwise direction
looking through the trees at a boat chugging by
the beautiful cliff-lined coast at taejongdae
looking towards the sun at the water and silhouetted trees
we came across and stopped at this rest area and observatory
a small island in the open sea
looking down the cliff a blue water crashing on the rocks below
the cliffs fell sharply down to the water
cargo boats dotting the horizon, waiting to dock at busan's immense port
a neatly colored bird observed in taejongdae
